An Errand (Cinemalaya 2024, International Film Festival Rotterdam 2025)
A film about the stories we tell and those told to us, the fragments pieced from memory and those we decide to invent.
 

The score was greatly inspired by the Ilonggo/Visayan songs heard in the film, from Michael Coroza’s performance of Lumalabay-labay Nga Daw Aso and Ay Ay Kalisud to Nora Hermosa’s Guimingaw Ako. Notes and phrases were derived programmatically then rearranged and transformed to reveal something all the while hidden, a random repetition of broken and inconsistent parts that confuse the familiar with what is by accident, merely imagined.
